Messaging Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: July 20, 2026

1. Scope

This Messaging Acceptable Use Policy applies to any use of VR Goals messaging, SMS, MMS, telephone-number, brand-registration, campaign-registration, toll-free verification, porting, inbound-message, delivery-report, consent-record, suppression-list, or related communications features.

2. Required Practices

  • Send messages only under your own legal or authorized brand, approved campaign, approved use case, and authorized numbers.
  • Maintain accurate business identity, EIN or business registration, address, website, authorized representative, support contact, Privacy Policy, SMS Terms, opt-in workflow, sample message, and campaign information.
  • Obtain and document all legally required consent before messaging, including separate optional consent for marketing.
  • Keep SMS consent separate from email consent, telephone-call consent, booking terms, and general account terms unless a specific exception is approved by counsel and carriers.
  • Honor STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, OPT OUT, other supported keywords, and any legally recognized reasonable method of revocation.
  • Maintain suppression records and do not bypass them by changing brands, users, properties, campaigns, numbers, or accounts.
  • Monitor campaign status, carrier notices, rejected messages, delivery errors, opt-outs, HELP requests, and abuse reports.

3. Prohibited Content and Conduct

  • Illegal, deceptive, misleading, threatening, harassing, abusive, defamatory, or fraudulent messages.
  • Phishing, smishing, malware, credential theft, impersonation, spoofing, or messages that conceal the actual sender.
  • Unregistered traffic, mismatched traffic, snowshoe traffic, or traffic inconsistent with the registered brand, campaign, message flow, sample messages, Privacy Policy, SMS Terms, or approved use case.
  • Marketing through an operational, customer-care, transactional, security, or account-notification campaign unless the campaign and consent support marketing.
  • Purchased, rented, scraped, appended, harvested, borrowed, or unlawfully shared recipient lists.
  • Content prohibited by Telnyx, wireless carriers, CTIA guidelines, The Campaign Registry, or applicable law.
  • SHAFT content or other restricted content without permitted registration, consent, and age verification where applicable.
  • Debt-relief, high-risk financial, unlawful cannabis, gambling, illegal drugs, hate, firearms, malware, unsolicited real-estate solicitations, or other prohibited carrier categories unless expressly allowed by law, carriers, Telnyx, The Campaign Registry, and VR Goals in writing.
  • Repeated messages after opt-out, except a lawful confirmation or legally permitted communication.
  • Manipulation of throughput, campaign registration, vetting, number allocation, opt-out handling, carrier filtering, or deliverability systems.
  • Shared use of one customer’s campaign, number, or brand by unrelated businesses.
  • Transmission of highly sensitive information through SMS or MMS when that channel is not appropriate, including full payment credentials, government identification numbers, passwords, or door codes where a more secure workflow is required.

4. Sensitive Hospitality Messages

Customers may send reservation, property-access, maintenance, checkout, owner, vendor, employee, and contractor messages only when authorized and appropriate. Temporary door codes, lockbox details, Wi-Fi credentials, security instructions, guest identity details, and reservation information should be minimized, time-limited where possible, and sent only to recipients with a legitimate need to receive them.

5. Enforcement

VR Goals may request opt-in evidence, supporting records, campaign corrections, privacy-policy updates, SMS-terms updates, screenshots, or customer certifications. VR Goals may refuse, delay, suspend, block, quarantine, or terminate messaging, campaigns, brands, numbers, users, integrations, or accounts when traffic presents legal, security, reputational, carrier, deliverability, abuse, or platform risk.

Customers may request review of an enforcement action by contacting [email protected] and providing corrected materials, consent evidence, and an explanation of the proposed remediation.
